The Best Bourbon Whiskeys in the UK to Explore Further
Following the sharing of the first bourbon as a Club Bottle recently I thought it might be useful to collate Member’s suggestions of bourbons to try should you want to explore this style of whiskey further.

Woodford Reserve Double Oaked
£55 in Waitrose
A whiskey that John suggests is “absolutely my favourite bourbon, always have one on the shelf,” with Philip adding “massive step up from standard Woodfords.” Erik agrees that “Double Oaked is superb!” and Simon, “totally agree on the Woodford. Stunning bourbon.”
Four Roses Single Barrel
£45.45 plus delivery from Master of Malt
James is a big fan of this “truly stunning bourbon,” with Jamie agreeing, calling it “a must.” For Lee it is one of his “go to bourbons,” making me think this is one to try.
Jack Daniels Single Barrel
£47 in Asda
Chris states that this whiskey “is superb. Don’t be put off by it being JD.” Philip goes further recommending “particularly the barrel strength ones, but even the 45% stuff is a massive step up from standard JD,” adding the warning, “I’d avoid the Sinatra Select though, way overpriced for what it is.”
New Riff Straight Bourbon
£64.75 plus delivery with The Whisky Exchange
Erik shared, “just got a bottle of New Riff Bourbon recently, I like it a lot though my experiences with bourbon are relatively limited.” Matt backs this, stating, “New Riff certainly wouldn’t disappoint, their single barrels are usually fantastic too,” with Richard agreeing “I’m Team New Riff myself.”
Eagle Rare 10
£37.50 in Tesco
A bottle many Members have recommended, such as Jimmy with, “Eagle Rare 10 year old good,” Hellen and Andy, “Eagle rare 10 gets our vote too,” and Fraser, “I love Eagle Rare 10yr.”
Mal goes further, suggesting that pound for pound Eagle Rare 10 is one of the best bourbons for the price
Americana Single Barrel Wheated Bourbon Whiskey
£74.95 from Summerton Whisky Club
Following how well Americana Small Batch Bourbon was received by Club Members I couldn’t ignore them in this round up, and will leave it all to John for this bottle, “this is the best bourbon I have had to date, the pallet, after taste and smell is mmmm, this bottle will not last long at all, thanks again Dan for expanding our range of what we can and should be drinking (in moderation) haha 
”
This is by no means an exhaustive list, and everyone’s recommendations may be different as we all have our own tastes and preferences, but it will hopefully help point you in the right direction should you wish to explore bourbon whiskies further.
