This single estate masterpiece is a natural progression for Healey’s Cornish Cyder Farm, who started this journey with the purchase of the farm in 1986. Thereafter Jan and David Healey started planting their apple orchards, which now cover twenty acres with over three thousand trees, helping the farm to become the largest Cornish cider maker. We particularly like their barrel-aged cyders.
In 2000 Healey's built Cornwall’s first distillery for over three hundred years, allowing them to turn their award winning cyder, made naturally from wind blown apples, into brandy. More recently Cornish whisky, a collaboration with the St Austell brewery, has been added to their range, which also includes their preserves, juices and country wines, all using the finest farm and local Cornish ingredients. A visit to their farm is definitely a must when in Cornwall.
We have chosen Healeys 8 Year Old Cyder Brandy to share with our members, a fantastic example of what Healeys Cyder Farm can do with their most prized ingredient, apples.
